Wednesday, February 10, 2010

3esi announces the successful implementation of esi.manage as a component of the capital management system at Enerplus Resources ('Enerplus'). This system offers several key outcomes for its user's including:
• the complete integration of long range plans, budgets, capital forecasts and analysis,
• a better understanding of capital program expectations and results through enhanced reporting,
• more accurate data with reduced re-entry of data, and
• increased time available to spend on analysis and capital project management by decreasing the time and effort spent on data entry/re-entry and validation.

'By using esi.manage, we have a higher degree of confi dence in the capital programs developed by our operations teams. With the improved data quality and integration that the esi.manage solution provides, we are better able to monitor, track and understand our capital program performance relative to budgets and forecasts. As a result, we are able to make better business decisions going forward.' said Rod Gray, Vice President, Finance at Enerplus.

In addition, an esi.manage project includes design and implementation of new business processes and data fl ow integration. 3esi also has the ability to develop customized features for its clients, some of which now form part of the standard esi.manage product. For example, at Enerplus, data and business integration were completed with Qbyte, Excalibur, AFE Navigator , Value Navigator and Essbase.

'3esi is very proud of the way that Enerplus and 3esi staff collaborated as one team to design and build the required processes and system integrations required to make Enerplus' vision a reality. We were able to merge Enerplus' vision and our technical solution for capital planning to achieve a successful outcome.' said Wayne Sim, CEO at 3esi.
