Monday, August 23, 2010

San Leon Energy plc and its partner, Lundin, announce the successful completion of the 300 km2 3D seismic acquisition programme covering the Slyne Basin exploration license F4/06 along the Atlantic Margin, offshore Ireland. The program was completed in 15 days with 100 per cent. of the proposed survey successfully acquired under budget. The data is currently being processed. Final results for interpretation are expected by December.

The survey was completed at approximately 19:00 on the 17th of August, with 2 full infill and 1 partial infill pass acquired. All prime lines and required infill have been acquired successfully.

Prime coverage totaled 300.37 square kilometers.

The infill acquisition totalled 13.3% of the charged prime full fold coverage. The predicted infill was 15%. The vessel began demobilizing immediately after acquiring the last infill and demobillization was completed at 23:50.

The instruction has been given to deliver the field data for processing.

Due to very bad weather conditions at the completion of the survey, personnel could not be transferred to the chase boat for the return to shore. The 2 QC representatives, the 2 MMO's and the FLO will have to remain on board until the vessel reaches its next port-of-call, Algiceris.

No mammal activity was observed during the entire survey.

No fishing activity was observed in the area during the shooting of this survey.

The very limited shipping activity observed during the survey did not affect the quality of the data acquired.
