Naftogaz Comments on Latest Negotiations With Gazprom

The NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” delegation finalized one more round of negotiations with Gazprom OJSC’s top managers last week, in Moscow.

The Parties, having considered the results of the International Conference held on 23rd of March, 2009 in Brussels, reached an agreement concerning the necessity to interact jointly in order to ensure an increased reliability of Gazprom gas transit to the European countries conditions. Thus, based on the agreements reached, intelligible investments and crediting mechanisms for the Ukrainian Gas Transmission System modernizing as per the international standards will be implemented.

The Parties signed the Technical Agreement, which supports implementation of the Contracts 2009-2019 on gas purchase and transit.

The NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” on 6th of April, 2009, has paid in full for the gas volume imported in March, 2009. Thus, the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” has, ahead of schedule, fulfilled its commitments given to the Russian partners.
