Kingdom of Bahrain Announces Deep Gas Exploration Opportunity
Tuesday, October 21, 2008
The Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain announces the launch of the Licensing Round for deep onshore gas. The official announcement will be made in Manama at a Press Conference at NOGA (National Oil & Gas Authority) on 27th of October 2008, 10 AM. H.E. Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Oil & Gas Affairs, Chairman of NOGA, will be making the announcement to the industry and to the media during this press conference.
Recent successes in neighboring states, where a commercial deep-gas play has been proven, imply significant potential within the pre-Khuff formation within Bahrain. The Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to secure domestic gas supply, and is planning an extensive exploration program for hydrocarbons. This represents an exciting opportunity for those companies with the appropriate skills to explore for deep gas in Bahrain. Terms are attractive, and the Government of Bahrain is confident that participants will achieve an attractive return on their investment.
Interested parties are invited to attend the official announcement in Manama, where they will meet with the Bahrain officials responsible for the Licensing Round.
