Frontier Resources Announces Appointment of VP, Business Operations

The Board of Frontier Resources announces that Kent E. Nelson has joined the Company as Vice President, Business Operations, effective from 1 December 2009.

Kent has over 25 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, operations and management in the oil and gas industry. He began his career with O'Brien-Goins-Simpson & Associates, in the role as consultant to the World Bank, in Mogadishu, Somalia drilling gas wells to retrofit the capital's power generation facilities. He then joined Conoco Inc. in 1990 as a business development manager in the natural gas group. With the startup of the Global Power Group, Kent became responsible for business development in North and South America where he successfully completed an $80 million power project in Colombia in addition to a $250 million large-scale cogeneration project in Texas. In 2000, Kent joined Reliant Energy to manage the newly formed Energy Optimization Group responsible for engineering and project management in North America. Kent holds a BBA from the University of Texas in Engineering Management as well as a MBA from the University of Houston.

In his role with Frontier, Kent will be responsible for the daily operations of the Company as well as business and opportunity development.
