EDF Energies Nouvelles announced the commissioning of the Canton de Bonneval and Veulettes wind farms, both located in the northern half of France with respectively 24 MW and 8 MW in installed capacity.
The Canton de Bonneval wind farm is located in Beauce, in the Eure-et-Loir department. With 24 MW in installed capacity, it comprises eight 3-MW turbines supplied by Danish manufacturer Vestas.
The Veulettes wind farm, which is located in the Seine-Maritime department, comprises four wind turbines, with 8 MW in total installed capacity. The 2-MW turbines were supplied by German manufacturer REpower.
Following the commissioning of three wind farms in Fiennes, Fierville and Sauveterre during the first half of the year, these two new facilities strengthen the Group’s positions in its home market. To date, EDF Energies Nouvelles has developed and built 431.1 MW in gross capacity in France, 112.2 MW of which has been sold to third parties.
