Dominion Petroleum Announces Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Dominion announces that Mr. Atul Gupta has agreed today to join the Board as a Non-Executive Director. He will be formally appointed at the upcoming Board Meeting of the Company on Tuesday 22 December 2009.
Mr. Gupta has worked for 25 years in the international upstream oil and gas business successively with Charterhouse Petroleum, Petrofina, Monument and Burren Energy. Mr. Gupta joined Burren in 1999 as Chief Operating Officer and served as its Chief Executive Officer from 2006 until the company was sold to ENI last year.
He has a bachelors degree in chemical engineering from Cambridge University and a masters degree in petroleum engineering from Heriot Watt University.
The disclosures required to be made under Rule 17 of the AIM Rules in respect of the new directors are set out in the Appendix to this announcement.
Mr Gupta has no shareholding in the Company.
