Bluestone Offshore kick-starts Great Barrier Reef Project

Bluestone Offshore's Maya set sail February 11 from Townsville, Australia towards the Great Barrier Reef with an international team of researchers onboard. Throughout the next 6 weeks the team will conduct a study to determine biologic and geologic response of fossilized coral to sudden sea-level and climate change.

Coral core samples will be collected at 160m water depth and undergo basic examination at the Maya before being transferred to a core repository in Germany.
