Black Hills Corp. Announces New Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Black Hills Corp. announces the selection of Robert A. Myers for the position of senior vice president of human resources effective immediately. Myers has been serving as the company's interim human resources executive since June 2008.
David R. Emery, chairman, president and chief executive officer for Black Hills Corp., said that Myers brings a tremendous breadth of senior management experience and human resources expertise to the company. "Bob has been a strong partner with Black Hills as we've moved through the Aquila acquisition," Emery said. "His knowledge and experience with culture integration, change leadership and human resources strategy has been instrumental in our transitional success, and I am excited to have him join our team full time. His extensive human resources experience, combined with his knowledge of Black Hills, will be invaluable as we continue our integration and growth plans."
Myers has been a partner with the human resources consulting firm Strategic Talent Solutions and has been supporting Black Hills with the Aquila integration efforts for nearly 20 months. He has served in key human resources leadership roles during his 28 years of experience with organizations such as PepsiCo, Target Corporation, Limitedbrands Inc., BankBoston, Metromedia, Reebok International and Devon Energy. During the course of his career, he has served as the chief human resources officer for three different companies, including two Fortune 250 organizations. Myers earned a bachelor of science degree, magna cum laude in psychology, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a masters degree in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Nebraska.
