Description
White Nile Ltd is a London Stock Exchange, AIM quoted oil and gas exploration company centred on Southern Sudan and the surrounding region. The Company is currently focused on the highly prospective Block Ba in Southern Sudan, which covers an area of approximately 67,000 sq. km. A full development programme of Block Ba is on-going, primarily targeting the extensions of the productive Muglad and Melut basins, with the aim of achieving production status in the near term. The Company also has interests in the Southern Rift Basins situated in southern Ethiopia.
White Nile's intention is to position the Company as a new independent oil producer focused in Southern Sudan and the immediate region. To achieve this, the Directors have developed strong local and governmental relationships (Nile Petroleum Corporation, the national oil company of Southern Sudan, has a major equity stake in the Company) and assembled a highly experienced team and network of international partners.
