Description
We are an independent natural gas and oil exploration and production company engaged in the exploitation and development of long-life unconventional properties. We have built a geographically diverse portfolio of natural gas and oil reserves through organic development and strategic acquisitions.
For the five years ended December 31, 2010, we have grown production at a compound annual growth rate of 12 percent. As of December 31, 2010, our proved reserves were 4,473 Bcfe, 59 percent of which were proved developed reserves.
WPX Energy is based in Tulsa, Okla., with operations and interests in Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Wyoming, Argentina and Colombia.
In addition to our exploration and development activities, we engage in natural gas sales and marketing. Our sales and marketing activities to date include the sale of our natural gas and oil production.
