Description
The merger between Statoil and Hydro's oil and gas division has created the world's largest operator for offshore projects in water depths greater than 100 metres.
StatoilHydro has 31,000 employees, are represented in nearly 40 countries and have exploration and production operations in 15 of these.
The company is one of the world's largest oil sellers and a major supplier of natural gas to the European market. StatoilHydro also operate more than 1800 service stations in Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltic counties and Russia.
