The concept of the Offshore Access System has been continuously developing during the last decade. P&R Systems (holder of the patent for the Offshore Access System) formed an agreement with Fabricom Oil and Gas B.V. to create a prototype from which evolved the successful operating design which we know today.
In May 2007, Fabricom officially joined with AMEC to form Offshore Solutions B.V.
