Nunaoil A/S, is Greenland's National Oil Company
The Company's objective is to perform activities related to hydrocarbons in and around Greenland as well as tasks naturally related hereto outside national territory. The long-term aim is the development of commercial oil and gas fields in Greenland under the Company's licenses, thus generating attractive yields to shareholders. The Company is owned in equal shares by the Greenland Home Rule Government and the Danish State.
Nunaoil participates as a carried (non-paying) partner in all licenses granted to oil companies for oil and gas exploration and exploitation in Greenland. In the event of commercial oil or gas discoveries, Nunaoil is to pay its share of the development and production costs.
