Newfield Exploration Company is an independent crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company headquartered in Houston, Texas.
Areas of operation include the Anadarko and Arkoma Basins of the Mid-Continent, the Rocky Mountains, onshore U.S. Gulf Coast and the Gulf of Mexico. International areas of operation include offshore Malaysia and China.
Newfield Exploration Company began with a Gulf of Mexico focus. Theyexpanded into the onshore Gulf Coast region in the mid-1990s and added the Mid-Continent region in 2001. Their expansion into the Rocky Mountains occurred in 2004, and we established operations in Malaysia that same year. Over the last decade, they have further diversified their asset base and added multiple areas in these regions capable of sustainable growth.
