Marubeni Corporation, one of the largest trading companies in Japan with offices in 73 countries.
Marubeni regards its oil and gas E&P business to be one of its core businesses. Particularly, the projects in the UK North Sea have been steadily expanding after Marubeni acquired a package of oil and gas fields and exploration licenses from the German energy and electric power conglomerate Veba (now E.ON) in July 2000.
Marubeni is committed to pursue the development of oil and gas discoveries, while also pursuing the acquisition of producing assets. The target areas are the UK North Sea, US Gulf of Mexico, Australia, South East Asia and India.
