Description
Lundin Petroleum AB, a Swedish independent oil and gas exploration and production company, was created as a result of the friendly takeover of Lundin Oil AB by Talisman Energy Inc. during the summer of 2001. Following this acquisition, Lundin Oil conveyed its assets to a newly formed company, Lundin Petroleum AB, and the shares of that company were distributed to Lundin Oil shareholders. Lundin Petroleum began trading on the New Market at Stockholmsbörsen with Öhman Fondkomission AB as sponsor in September 2001. The company now has a balanced portfolio of assets in Albania, France, Indonesia, Iran, Netherlands, Sudan, Tunisia and Venezuela.
