Lansdowne Oil & Gas plc, formed in December 2005 is an oil and gas company which holds one Frontier Exploration Licence in the Donegal Basin and four Celtic Sea Licensing Options covering Midleton, Rosscarbery, East Kinsale and Seven Heads Oil, covering a total of more than half a million acres in offshore Ireland.
The Irish offshore shelf areas have been targeted by the Company for exploration, as these provide shallow water (generally less than 100 metres), relatively low cost opportunities and good fiscal terms, potentially resulting in high value reserves.
