AIM listed Lansdowne Oil & Gas’s strategy is to aggressively exploit its extensive portfolio of identified prospects on its licences in the Celtic Sea. Prospects include: immediate appraisal of a discovered oilfield; low-risk gas exploration satellites near existing infrastructure; and exploration targets for both oil and gas in a basin with proven working petroleum systems.
3D seismic has been completed over the Barryroe Oilfield and three other oil and gas prospects. Barryroe has proven oil having tested at rates between 1,300 to 1,600 bopd from three wells. Plans are to drill Barryroe in October 2011 followed by a three well drilling programme in 2012.
