Forum Energy Plc is a United Kingdom-based oil and gas exploration and production company with a focus on the Philippines. The Company’s principal asset is a 100% interest in GSEC101, an offshore petroleum license situated west of Palawan Island in the South China Sea. During the year ended December 31, 2006, results from a 248-square kilometer three-dimensional (3D) seismic survey over the license area indicated 3.4 trillion cubic feet (TCF) gas-in-place (GIP) with upside to 20 TCF. In May 2006, the Company initiated the process of converting the license to a service contract and continues to pursue this objective. It has a 66.67% interest in Forum Exploration Inc, which holds the SC40 onshore and offshore license along with a number of proven gas fields, as well as development areas both onshore and offshore. In April 2006, the Company acquired the petroleum assets of Basic Consolidated Inc., which included the Nido, Matinloc and Galoc Fields.
