Description
Crimson Exploration is an independent oil and gas company based in Houston, Texas. Crimson's operations are concentrated in the U.S. Gulf Coast Region with 410 producing wells located in Texas, Colorado, Louisiana and Mississippi and acreage positions in the Haynesville Shale, Bossier and James Lime plays in San Augustine and Sabine counties in East Texas and acreage positions in South Texas and the Denver Julesburg Basin of Colorado. As of December 31, 2010, Crimson had estimated proved reserves of 166.5 Bcfe of natural gas equivalents, based on year-end SEC guidelines. Crimson's reserves are 48% proved developed, 81% natural gas, and 89% operated. For the second quarter of 2011, the Company's average production was approximately 48,740 mcfe per day.
