Chesapeake Energy Corporation is one of the six largest independent U.S. natural gas producers and owns one of the country's largest inventories of domestic natural gas reserves.
Chesapeake is among the industry's most focused gas producers with approximately 80% of their assets concentrated in the Mid-Continent region of the U.S and 20% in the company's secondary operating areas: the Permian Basin region of western Texas and eastern New Mexico, the South Texas and Texas Gulf Coast regions, and the Ark-La-Tex basin of east Texas and north Louisiana.
