CNX Gas Corporation is a Pittsburgh-based independent natural gas exploration, development, production and gathering company operating in the Appalachian Basin of the United States.
CNX Gas currently has four active areas: Virginia Operations, a CBM play in southwestern Virginia; Mountaineer, a CBM play in southwestern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia; Nittany, an exploratory CBM play east of Pittsburgh; and Cardinal, a New Albany shale exploratory play in western Kentucky.
The company's stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol CXG.
