Formed in 1999, the BG International business unit comprises the business units previously known as Exploration & Production and International Downstream. Subsequently, BG International reorganised and now has an asset based management structure. BG International reports through five business segments, Exploration and production (E&P), Liquefied natural gas (LNG), Transmission and distribution (T&D), Power generation (Power) and Other operations.

Our high performing Exploration and Production business remains the centre of gravity of our activities. The increasingly opportunity-rich Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) segment, together with Transmission and Distribution form our downstream activities and give us the complete range of skills across the gas chain.
